■ Your data
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 21, 2026
The short version: we collect what we need to print and ship your zine or stickers, we use a few outside services to do it (Shopify, our printers, the carrier, Meta for ads), we never sell your data, and your photos are yours. Email us at any time to see or delete what we have.
Who we are
Airluums is operated by Neural Currents LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. We make printed zines and sticker packs from the photos you upload at airluums.com. Questions about this policy go to alan@airluums.com. A real person answers.
What we collect
Things you give us
- Your photos and anything you type alongside them: a title, captions, a journal page, the words on a sticker.
- Your order details, collected by Shopify at checkout: name, email, shipping address, phone if you add one, and what you bought. Payment is handled by Shopify and its payment providers (including Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay). Card numbers never reach us.
- Your email address if you join a waitlist, save a launch price, or opt in to marketing emails at checkout.
- Messages you send us by email.
Things collected automatically
- Your layout. When you build a zine or pack we save the layout as a session so you can come back to it, share a preview link, and so we can print exactly what you approved.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you got here, and the actions you take on the site (viewing a product, adding to cart, checking out).
- Cookies and similar identifiers, described below.
How we use it
- To make, print, and ship what you ordered, and to send you order and shipping emails.
- To fix problems: reprint a damaged book, answer a support email, reroute a package.
- To keep the site working and understand how people use it.
- To measure and improve our advertising, mostly on Meta (Instagram and Facebook).
- To send marketing emails, only if you opted in. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
- To comply with the law, including tax and accounting records.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us make and deliver your order, and only what each one needs:
- Shopify runs our store, cart, checkout, and payments, and sends your order confirmation and shipping emails. Shopify's privacy policy.
- Print partners. Zines are printed by Gelato and sticker packs by Printful, who receive your print file and, when they ship directly to you, your name and shipping address. For some events we print with a local partner in New Jersey who receives only the print file, never your name or address; we pack and ship those orders ourselves.
- Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS and others) and our label provider, EasyPost, receive your name, address, and phone where a carrier requires it.
- Google Cloud / Firebase hosts the site, stores your photos and layouts, and runs the software that builds your print files.
- Postmark delivers some of our transactional emails.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives advertising measurement events, described in the next section.
- An email marketing service, if you opt in to marketing emails, holds your email address and order history to send them.
- Professional advisers and authorities when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
Advertising and the Meta Pixel
We advertise on Instagram and Facebook. To know whether those ads work, airluums.com uses the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API. This means:
- When you view a page, add to cart, start checkout, or complete a purchase, an event is sent to Meta from your browser and, for purchases, from our server. Meta sets cookies named
_fbpand_fbcto tie those events to an ad you may have seen. - Purchase events sent from our server include your email, name, address, and phone, each hashed before it leaves us, so Meta can match the purchase to an ad view. Meta does not receive your photos or your layout.
- Meta may use this data under its own privacy policy, including to show you Airluums ads later (retargeting) and to find other people likely to be interested.
To opt out: adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook settings or Instagram settings, block third-party cookies in your browser, or use an industry opt-out such as aboutads.info. Blocking the pixel does not affect your ability to order.
Cookies
- Our own: a small amount of local storage keeps your cart and your layout session alive between pages. Strictly needed to use the site.
- Shopify: cookies on the cart and checkout pages for the cart, checkout, fraud prevention, and Shopify's own analytics.
- Meta:
_fbpand_fbc, described above.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. The site works without the Meta cookies.
Your photos
We keep your photos and your layout as long as we need them to print your order and to reprint it if something goes wrong. Email us and we will delete them sooner. Order records themselves (what you bought, where it shipped, what you paid) are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us, at any time, to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any of them. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights (for example under California or EU law), including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Email alan@airluums.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will need to verify it is you before acting on a request.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the Meta measurement described above, which you can opt out of as described in that section.
Children
Airluums is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you are under 18, order with a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Photos and layouts are stored on Google Cloud with access limited to the systems that build your print files and to us. Payments are processed entirely by Shopify and its providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures and will tell you if a breach affects you.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, note it on the site. Continuing to use airluums.com after a change means you accept the updated policy.
